#1: Honor the 80th Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor
December 7, 2021 commemorates 80 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor, a date which will live in infamy. For Love of Country Gala will give you the opportunity to honor the veterans and heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day and beyond.
#2: Help Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum Raise the Roof in Hangar 79
Historic Hangar 79 at Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum withstood the attack on Pearl Harbor 80 years ago, and still holds evidence of the attack today. The window panes within Hangar 79 are riddled with bullet holes from December 7, 1941! In order to maintain this historic, battle-tested and war-torn hangar, the Museum needs help to repair the roof so visitors for generations to come can honor the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation and explore history safely. Tune into our virtual program to learn more and help us protect this historic hangar to ensure that what happened on Ford Island and at Pearl Harbor are never forgotten.
#3: Enjoy Spectacular Entertainment
Spectacular performances from the Royal Hawaiian Band and Kamehameha School Concert Glee Club and Hawaiian Ensemble are sure to entertain! The spectacular performances of traditional Hawaiian songs will give you a taste of Hawaii, wherever you are watching from, on this evening of remembrance.
#4: Inspiring Speakers and Tributes
For Love of Country welcomes David Price of NBC News as host for this inspirational evening. Price is joined by special guest speakers Linda Hope and John Seda – star of NBC’s Chicago PD, La Brea, HBO’s The Pacific, and many acclaimed films. Additionally, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum student, volunteer, and scholarship winner Abigail Dang will be joining to share her amazing journey to becoming a certified flight instructor and her longtime dream to be in the sky!
We will also feature special tributes to the Heroes of the attack on Pearl Harbor, to remember and honor their legacy.
