We Will Miss You

Our Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum family mourns the loss of Burl Burlingame. A modeler, writer, lecturer, photographer, story teller, and passionate aviation historian, Burl leaves a strong legacy here at our museum. Burl was involved with the museum since our earliest days, providing guidance, insight, historical perspective and his unique talent in the creation of displays and the unfolding interpretive story we now share in our galleries and in many of our printed pieces. He provided guided tours, rich in personal anecdote to hundreds of visitors and used his broad network to always keep our museum top of mind amongst those managing collections of museum and aircraft artifacts. He was always able to scavenge for the parts and pieces needed to share our story with interest.

Please take a moment to remember Burl. We already miss him.
